Been coming here all my life, and I still come back every time I visit home. Still the same great breakfast food. Same amazing gyros. And all served by the same amazing crew that has been crushing it for years. It's the classic small town diner feel it has always been, and that's fine by me. Some things are too good to change.
This is an older family restaurant but I was satisfied with the food and service. I came in for lunch last week and was promptly seated and the hostess immediately poured me a cup of coffee. I ordered a ham and cheese club which comes with a cup of homemade soup, choice of potato, homemade cold slaw and pickles. Portion and price were both good. The server was nice and attentive and the food was very good. On a cool day in December, I like the fact that soup comes with the meal.
My dad and I enjoyed our breakfast at this restaurant. Very reasonably priced and the food was very good. Would definitely come back here again. And the service was excellent
Traveling from Mi. To IL on Labor Day weekend. Every restaurant we tried to stop at was closed. Looked online and found Golden Flame. Couple miles off I-43. we were so glad we tried it. Clean & very friendly staff. Above & beyond excellent service. Food was so reasonable & delicious. Happy we found the Golden Flame! We will be back.
Great experience; service was slightly slow, our waitress disappeared for a while so we were quite hungry by the time she returned. The food is tasty, and very good value for the dollar !
